Estonian Defense Forces train during Spring Storm [video]

Estonia's Defense Force held their air defense training on May 6, 2012 in West-Viru County on the Rutja Shore. It is Estonia's largest military exercise, named "Kevadtorm" or "Spring storm."

From May 3 to 11, exercises will take place and be extended to Ida-Viru County. Kevadtorm 2012 will end on May 19 with a final muster.

The Scouts Battalion, with a Latvian infantry company and a Lithuanian intelligence unit act, as the enemy.

This year, the storm was attended by more than 4,000 members of the Defense Forces, conscripts, Defense Leaguers, reservists, and officials, with Northeastern Defense District units dealing with the harshest parts of the military training.

The Estonian forces will participate in three different parts of their training: maneuvering, cooperative training, and battle task training.
