Interview Maude Barlow: "we still have huge problems to deal with on water"
Interview of Maude Victoria Barlow, Canadian author and activist during the international water forum in Istanbul.

She is the national chairperson of The Council of Canadians, a

Istanbul

progressive citizens’ advocacy organization with members and chapters across Canada. She is also the co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, which works internationally for the right to water.

She serves on the board of the San Francisco-based International Forum on Globalization, is chair of the board of Washington-based Food & Water Watch, and is a Councillor with the Hamburg-based World Future Council.

On October 21, 2008, she was named Senior Advisor on Water Issues by the President of the 63rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann.

In Istanbul at the Fifth Water Forum she talks about water issues, Turkey and how the lack of water risks to have consequences on the planet
