Togo: Opposition protests continue for second day in Lome

News Lome, Togo - 05 October 2017

Togo’s opposition rejected a joint statement from three regional diplomatic blocs urging the government to set a date for a referendum about constitutional change, as nationwide protests continued for a second day on October 5, 2017 with thousands marching in Lome and other cities across the country. Protesters clash with one another as the protesters turned violent.
