An AIDS candlelight memorial was held on May 20, 2012, the 29th anniversary of the International Day of Commemoration against AIDS.

The AIDS Candlelight Memorial, 29th Anniversary of the International Day of Commemoration Against AIDS, Sidaction, Paris, France Created in 1987 in the United States, the Patchwork names (Project Names) arrived in France two years later. At a time when AIDS was many victims, mostly homosexuals and often ostracized, this medium allowed the relatives to make fabric panels in memory of the deceased.
