he 96th Tour de France started in Monaco on July 4th.
This annual bicycle race covers more than 3,500 kilometres (2,200 mi) throughout France and during three weeks, 180 racing cyclists pass 21 stages between Monaco and Paris.
This year, the edition is marked by the return of the American Lance Amstrong, seven times victorious of the Race, and the Spanish Alberto Contador.
