At sunset on August 19, 2012, Muslims worldwide celebrated Eid Mubarak, or the breaking of the fast at the end of the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a time of religious reflection and fasting from sunrise to sunset for devout followers of Islam.

Events featured traditional food, music, and entertainment for the believers. The next Ramadan begins July 8, 2013 and ends August 9, 2013.
