The Peaugres Safari Park, located at the heart of the Ardeche region in France, has housed since 1974 an unique place where man and animal are one. More than 900 animals of 120 different species from all continents live in this 2,000 acre enclosure that is set up to resemble the animal's natural environment as closely as possible.
They say spring is the season of love and the animals of Peaugres are getting busy. The spring visitors at Peaugres who are fortunate enough to witness the mating process of certain species may see some paired-up bears (pictured), antelopes fighting or Przewalski horses with their camel neighbors.
