A terrorist killed a police constable in Peshawar, Pakistan, on the night of Saturday August 11, 2012. Tahir Khan was on duty to protect the people in the mosque.
Constable Mohammad Tahir Khan was assigned by police station Faqir Abad for the security of a Mosque at Government College Chowk. According to an eyewitness, two people wanted to enter in the mosque with a weapon but police constable Mohammad Tahir Khan stopped the armed people who then, started shooting at him. As a result, Mohammad Tahir Khan was killed on the spot. The terrorist who gunned down the police constable in the front of mosque then escaped on a motor bike.

After the incident police cordon off the area but the terrorist was escaped from the location, police start a search operation in the area of Faqir Abad. Chief Capital Police Officer Imtiaz Iltaf visited the spot of the incident. He talks with media and confirmed that terrorist want to fire on the mosque but police constable protects the people.
The funeral prayer of the Constable Mohammad Tahir taken off in the Police line Peshawar, I.G.P, Akber Khan Hoti, C.C.P Imtiaz Iltaf and other official also attend the funeral prayer of the Mohammad Tahir.
After the funeral Prayer I.G.P Akber Khan Hoti meet with the relative of the Mohammad Tahir and talks with the media. The IGP said that said in the holy month of Ramadan police security increased in the mosque; he further added that the police will start searching operation against the terrorist who’s gunned down the police constable Mohammad Tahir.
Mohammad Tahir belongs to BadBher Area of the Peshawar; BadBher Balarzai is surrounding area of the Peshawar. He joined the police in 2007.
