Rambahadur Limbu, the only surviving Gurkhas Victoria Cross winner, speaks in London

World News London, Great Britain - 30 June 2012

Victoria Cross (VC) winner Gurkhas Rambahadur Limbu spoke during a program at Feltham community college in Feltham, England on June 30, 2012.

The Victoria Cross is the highest honor, awarding courage and valor in combat.

Our contributor writes:

"Lance Corporal Ram Bahadur Limbu (born 8 July 1939) won his Victoria Cross in a mostly forgotten war, the Indonesian Confrontation, in Borneo in 1965. Nepalese Gurkhas won thirteen Victoria Crosses, including countless other military awards.

Ram Bahadur Limbu is only surviving and youngest Gurkha soldier who was awarded the medal."
