Alleged computer hackers Ryan Ackroyd and Jake Davis appear at Southwark Crown Court

World News London, Great Britain - 25 June 2012

Alleged computer hackers Ryan Ackroyd, 25, and Jake Davis,18, appeared in Southwark Crown Court in London to face hacking charges on June 25, 2012.

Ackroyd, 25, and Davis,18, were part of the notorious computer hacking group Lulz Security, also known as LulzSec. According to a BBC article, Davis and Ryan Cleary, another LulzSec member, pleaded guilty.

Lulzsec hacked into the UK's Serious Organized Crime Agency (SoCa) and also used specialized software, designed to flood websites with high traffic in order to make the sites inaccessible.

Ackroyd and an anonymous 17-year-old, also facing hacking charges, will be tried in April 2013.
