A group of curious onlookers gathered 200 meters away from the CIC bank, where four people were held hostage by a gunman on June 20, 2012.
The incident has been linked to Al Qaida and required intervention from Raid, an elite police unit that negotiated with Mohammed Merah, who last March killed a rabbi and three young children at a Jewish school in Toulouse. The CIC bank is incidentally located a few blocks away from Merah's apartment.
