5th Soapboxes derby held in Narva, Estonia

The 5th annual Soapboxes derby has held in third largest Estonian city Narva on June 9, 2012. There was participants from different Estonian regions and two cars from USA Embassy in Estonia, which traditionally sponsored this event. All of those cars shouldn't has any kind of engine, but need to be equipped by brake system.

The American tradition of the soap box derby was brought to Estonia in 2007, and now attracts thousands of viewers each year, bringing together participants from all over Estonia.  Twenty-two teams have registered so far to take part in this year’s race, including participants from the island of Hiiumaa, Lääne-Virumaa and Ida-Virumaa counties, and Tallinn. The race organizer is the Center for Creative Development and Leisure “Gagarin.”
