Hundreds of young people met at the City College of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City on May 30, 2012, to carry out their first General Assembly of Universities and continue the Movement #YoSoy132.

Meeting at City College of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), one of the universities in the country, hundreds of young people answered the call of the Movement # YoSoy132 to carry out the first General Assembly of Universities.
The morning meetings started on Wednesday in the area known as "islands" in University City. After a series of meetings held in each of the universities, public and private in the country, the General Assembly intends to collect the decisions made in the houses of studies.
It brought together students from more than 50 educational institutions, public and private throughout Mexico, to discuss various problems of the country divided into 15 work groups to address issues such as democratization of the media, foster free and informed vote; fair and transparent elections, fight against violence, art and culture, among others.
The Movement # YoSoy132 has expressed pleasure that the two major television networks in the country, broadcast the second debate of the candidates for president of the republic, by the two television channels with the largest audience in Mexico, which has been regarded as a small victory of their struggle.
