Peshawar hight court to strengthen polio operation in Khyber province, Pakistan

World News Peshawar, Pakistan - 21 April 2012

Peshawar: The propaganda against Polio Operation is baseless, the Peshawar High Court conducted a details inquiry to reveal the doubts, and parents shall not take any risk to deprive their children of Polio Drops. The Chief Justice Peshawar High Court in the Province of Khyber PakhtunKhwa, Pakistan inaugurating the Polio Campaign at Peshawar High Court has said that it is the prime responsibility of the state to protect its citizens and to provide them the best health facilities.

He added the Ullema (Religious Scholars) and Media can play an active role in awareness and sensitization of masses in this regard. The Chief Justice stated that inquiry will be held against teams, individuals and department if any polio case is reported in any areas in the future. He added that in future without proper affidavit related to the polio no petition will not be accepted. The Chief Justice recommended to the provincial as well as to the Federal Government that provision of affidavit shall made mandatory for issuance of driving license, Wattan Cards, Benazir Income Support Cards and admissions to school
