It's official, Didier Deschamps is the new coach for France's national football team, succeeding Laurent Blanc. The ex-coach for Marseille hopes to make the French national team qualify for Worlds 2014.
The new coach stated during a press conference on July 9, 2012 that he is primarily focused on results and that players are no longer allowed to make mistakes.
Noël Le Graët, president of the French Football Federation (FFF), assured the press that Deschamps was his first choice to replace Laurent Blanc. The rest of the staff for the French national team remains to be determined.
Deschamps signed a renewable two-year contract, in the event that France qualifies for the next World Cup.
