Olympic Lanes painted for London 2012

The City of London worked on its Olympic Lanes, on July 2, 2012 to separate the lanes that will be used during the upcoming Olympic games, which will take place from July 27 to August 12. 

This will be London's third time hosting the Olympic games. The City established the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to prepare for the event.

According to the LOCOG official website, a workforce of 200 000 will be needed.

"Markings are seen on the Olympic Lanes for the London 2012 Olympic Games route on Victoria Embankment in central London on July 2, 2012.

The lanes, designated for vehicles carrying athletes and officials to Olympic events, will be put into use from July 25. The lanes will be designated for official and VIP use only during the Games, with other motorists facing a fine of £130 if they are caught using the lanes during Olympics."
