In Lille at the EuroHockey Club Trophy, all talk was of the excellent hosting of a novel evening by the French club, a cheese and wine from all the countries involved in the Tournament, a wonderful social evening and a chance for the officials and team management to enjoy not only the hockey but the hcokey family.
The hockey was good too! with Kelburne starting their day, looking for the win and maximum points but settling for a 3-3 draw with SV Arminen and a place in the Final.
Game 2 went to HC Roma in spite of the Welsh boys best efforts 3-1.
Brest and Luzerner battled for a 2-2 draw together, but this was enough for Brest to finish 2nd in the Pool. In the final match of the day the hosts seemed relaxed and played some lovely hockey to please the locals, a 5-0 win over HC Bra.
