Alexis Tsipras who came second with 26.89 percent of the vote on June 17, 2012.

He made a statement shortly after the results and then goes to the central pre-election kiosk of his party in Propylaea and addresses the party's supporters. 

He refused to join a coalition with the conservatives who won Sunday's election, saying Syrisa party would be a powerful force in the opposition instead.
