Campaign for an American Dream holds sit-in at Obama Election Campaign HQ in Denver

Politics Denver, United States - 07 June 2012

The Campaign for an American Dream passed through Denver on June 6, 2012, holding a sit-in at the Obama Election Campaign Headquarters.

According to the Campaign for an American Dream's official website, the campaign participants arrived in Denver the previous day. At least two of the sit-in participants are on a hunger strike. Both the sit-in and the hunger strike are ongoing.

Our contributor writes:

"[The Campaign for an American Dream is] asking President Obama to issue an executive order halting the deportation of undocumented students.

The Campaign for an American Dream is a group of undocumented students walking across the United States hoping to create dialog and educate the American public about the DREAM Act and immigration reform.  Starting in San Francisco, they have walked across California, Nevada, and Utah, and are now in Denver, Colorado."

The walk began on March 10, 2012 and will end in Washington, D.C.
