Members of Britain's Tamil community gathered at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 4 to protest the arrival of Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa on June 3, 2012.

Rajapaksa was invited to London to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Our contributor writes:

"Protesters waved Tamil Tiger banners and flags and shouted "War criminal go home!" in the arrival hall, watched by a large number of policemen. They accuse Mr. Rajapaksa of ordering atrocities in the final phase of the Sri Lankan civil war."

Rajapaksa will remain in London until June 6. He is scheduled to deliver a speech in front of Mansion House, which is expected to attract more protesters.
