Rio de Janeiro's City hall presented the first 149 civil servants designated for the "Cariocas Leaders" program on May 30, 2012.

Who: Rodolfo Coelho (João Goulart Foundation President), Prof. Kleber Fossati Figueiredo (Coppead Director), Pedro Paulo Carvalho Teixeira (City Secretary), Eduardo Paes (Mayor), Prof. Maria Lúcia Werneck (Dean at UFRJ) and Fátima Marques (Regional managing director, Latin America), were all present.

Why: Developed by the João Goulart Foundation, in partnership with the Hay Group (a global management consulting firm) and Coppead (the graduate school of business of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), the program "Cariocas Leaders" aims to prepare municipality employees with profile of leadership with best business practices in people management. The selected servers will be ready to occupy strategic positions in municipal management, and to develop innovative projects and ideas for the city.

What:  The City Hall of Rio de Janeiro presented the first group of 149 civil servers selected for the program "Cariocas Leaders".
