As part of the day of action called by many trade unions across the UK on November 30, 2011, workers from King's Lynn in Norfolk marched through the bustling streets filled with shoppers to bring the message of what they saw as the 'theft' of the workers pensions.
The march took a route through the busiest parts of King's Lynn but caused only minor disruption to the traffic flow and to the Christmas shoppers thronging the local business's stores.
Protesters stopped outside key local government office buildings and the march was concluded with several speeches from key members and leaders of the civil services unions represented at the protest. This day of action here in King's Lynn passed off peacefully and whilst the police were in attendance they had nothing to deal with other than maintaining the traffic flow through this busy town.
