Romani people evacuated from their temporary campsite in Marseille, France

Politics Marseille, France - 11 August 2011

Romani people have been evacuated from their campsite in Marseille, France, on August 11, 2011.
The Roma had settled in a makeshift camp in the Porte d’Aix area, after they were evicted from squats a month ago.

Strongly opposed to this decision, the World Socialist Web Site has a story about this event, not much covered by English-speaking news outlets.
