Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz has been sworn in as president yesterday in Nouakchott. Some 20,000 people were gathered for this giant ceremony at Nouakchott stadium.

Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz is in power in Mauritania since the coup he led on August 6, 2008. He won the presidential election held on July 18, 2009.
