Thailand: Thousands stand in rain as they wait to pay condolences

Despite heavy rains, thousands of people continue to queue in front of the Grand Place to offer their condolences for King Bhumibol Adyuladej on October 16, 2016 in Bangkok. Some of them have been waiting in line for over eight hours. King Bhumibol died on October 13, 2016 at age 88, leaving Thailand in a state of mourning. The Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has announced that there will be no celebrations for 30 days. The Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will become the new king once he is done grieving for his father.
