Turkey: Syrian refugees take shelter in church

News Eskikale, Turkey - 09 December 2014

Syrian refugees who have fled to Turkey are living in church grounds in Eskikale Köyü, on December 9, 2014.

The Church of Mor Cercis in the Mardin province has provided shelter, food, water and education to families living there.

The church is now also home to several families from Mosul, Iraq who came to Turkey after Islamic State militants captured the city.
