Perth: Protesters call for boycott against Israel

News Perth, Australia - 16 August 2014

Protesters turned out in Perth on August 16, 2014 to call for support for the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel, and a lift of the blockade of border checkpoints.

Activists distributed disposable gloves painted red as props, and carried signs calling for the boycott of SodaStream, which manufactures products in a West Bank settlement.

The demonstration was the latest in a series held in the Murray Street Mall and sparked by recent violence in Gaza, though numbers were lower than previous weeks, while a ceasefire continues between Israel and Hamas.
