The second Africa Fashion Week London hosted at Spitalfields Market was a two day event that took place on 3 and 4 August 2012.
Day one featured collections by Rachel Kirya 'The Collection', Set FashionFree, Eldimaa Fashion, TT Dalk, Bull Doff, Threadz Creations, Monis, April2nd, Sally Intiego, Mademoiselle Aglaia, Rouch by Ronke, Elfrida, House of Marie, Ketere, L’emiral Couture, Rya‐V Jewellery, TeeKay's, MIA ByMia Nisbet, Severine, House of Nwocha, TY-TYS, Kemunto, Taye Taylor, House of Jola, Ella & Gabby, Green Mamba Design, Afrofashion, Rouge Vallari, Wangu Jeans, Asandia Hogan, Keto Couture and Patience Please.
With day two featured Yutees, Lilly Alfonso, Keve, Afro Fanatic, Über Africa, Collective Glue Clothing Company, James Brendan,The House of Adjeiwaah, Trish O Couture, L'emiral Couture, Ozora, Bebegrafiti ,Trish O Couture, Kiki Clothing, Tee Threads, ADAOR'S, Lyze Hats, Da Viva , House of Farrah., George Adesegun, Brigitte Merki, House of Tayo, Joansu, House of Bunor, Remi Lagos, Berry's Couture, Jimiking and MMD Design.
The gall show featured the Adebayo Jones collection, the Nigerian designer is celebrating his 25 years in fashion this year.
AFWL aims to celebrates London’s unique and diverse cultural heritage, topped with the flamboyant mixing of Western and African culture through fashion at the same time promoting Africa’s rich ethnic culture and interpreting it into contemporary designs.
