Funeral prayer for martyred captain of Pak army

News Nowshera, Pakistan - 11 June 2012

A funeral prayer took place in Aman Kot area of Nowshera on June 11, 2012 for the martyred captain Haleem Ullah of Gayari Sector, who died in an avalanche on April 7. Political pleaders from the local community and officers of the Pak Army attended the funeral prayer.

"The military said that given the improbability of recovering anyone alive, and after consulting religious leaders, “it has been decided to declare the remaining brave soldiers as ‘shuhada‘ (martyrs)” to try to reduce the families’ suffering."
