Occupy Wall Street celebrate 3-month anniversary with Occupy 2.0

News New York, United States - 17 December 2011

Occupy Wall Street celebrated its 3-month anniversary with a renewed attempt at occupation on December 17, 2011, in New York City. The "Occupy 2.0" protest, as it was called, tried to reclaim a camping space owned by Trinity Church.

Our contributor adds:

"The protestors put on an adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" with Mayor Bloomberg being Scrooge. The protesters eventually attempted to reclaim common space owned by Trinity Church by scaling the fence. Retired Bishop George Packard is seen watching police arrest one of the protesters who liberated space.

Since OWS has been removed from Liberty Square (Zuccotti Park) they have held daily actions including Occupy Broadway which liberated a private park for a day while performers entertained the crowd for 24 straight hours."
