I saw this story on the Citizenside and thought you should see it

Italian soccer team airplane hit by lightning near Geneva

Life Gex, France - 20 March 2013

I was near Divonne, France,  filming a snow/sleet/graupel shower over Lake Geneva, Switzerland, and a single lightning bolt struck. Seconds later you can see an airplane flying out of the storm. That airplane was probably, according to information I found later, the  Alitalia charter Airbus A319 with the Italian National Soccer team , approaching to land at Geneva airport. It got hit by the lightning. Luckily nobody got hurt. The first video shows the lightning strike ( very brief ) and you can see the airplane come out of the clouds moments later. In the second video you can hear the thunder .
