A Japanese manga comic series creates a craze for a French wine

Hot Topics Tokyo, Japan - 28 September 2010
Japanese manga comic series "Kami no Shizuku" ("Drops of God") has created a craze for a French wine, Château le Puy, produced by Jean-Pierre Amoreau in the Bordeaux region. After his little-known 2003 vintage was named in one of the books several months ago, his sales begin to multiply.

The French winemaker nonetheless decided to halt international sales because he wants "this wine, which had been chosen as a mythical wine, to remain within reach of everyone".
