A heatwave travelling across inland Spain has sent temperatures soaring. Not yet July and 48ºc has been registered in Jaén city and into Cordoba.
This has brought about new worries about this year´s olive harvest, amidst the falling prices of previous years, if the temperatures remain high as the fruit should be swelling it could be a double blow with low prices and a low yield.
