In Peshawar, Pakistan, workers in charge of landscaping Peshawar University cut down old trees from the university's garden with hopes of preventing further problems on May 3, 2012.

Recently, in March 2012, around 160 trees were auctioned and then cut down for furniture use and because some had become too dry.
