Update on the Missouri River on July 3rd, 2011. Parts of South Sioux City, Nebraska, North Sioux City, South Dakota, and Sioux City, Iowa is under water. Flood stage begins at a little over 30 feet at Sioux City.

The city is confident that the city's infrastructure regarding water and power is not in danger although stretches of the interstate below Sioux City are closed due to the high water.

Currently the river is at 32.33 feet. Major flooding occurs at 36 feet. Volume of water at Sioux City is estimated at 180,000 kcfs.
