Bikaner: Holi festival brings colour to Rajasthan

Thousands gather in the streets of Bikaner in northern India to celebrate the spring festival of colour on march 6, 2015.

A colourful crowd chants as they cheer on a man dancing above the streets in at the ceremony called "TANI TODD" (cutting a rope). People typically dress up in unusual attire with excessive makeup.

Holi is the spring festival, also known as the festival of colours, celebrated around the world. The festival holds great significance among the local people of Rajasthan as they believe the colors used in this festival add color and happiness to their lives.
