ChildLine, a UK-based charity designed to provide comfort and protection to children and young adults, will celebrate its 25th anniversary through a series of fundraisers from October 8 to October 12, 2012.
BT, a British Telecommunications Agency, plans to raise money for the charity by transforming its phone boxes into works of art and selling them on e-Bay. The phone boxes have thus been dubbed BT ArtBoxes.
The BT ArtBoxes are currently being displayed in Central London, near Trafalgar Square and Picadilly. E-Bay will auction the boses until July 22.
According to an article on readingchronicle.co.uk, ChildLine is also hoping to set a world record for the largest number of birthday cards received, by encouraging children in elementary and middle schools throughout the UK to send their birthday wishes.
