The annual Gay Pride in Athens took place on June 9, 2012, the occasion for the LGBT's community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered people)  to march cheerfully around the city.

The success was eloquent as about 12 000 persons attended it. Peaceful slogan such as "Love me, it's free!" could be heard among the crowd.

Only a few weeks ago, some Golden Dawn's supporters were seen distributing leaflets against gay and lesbian rights in the district of Gazi, in Athens, with comments like "After the immigrates, you are the next".
