Bucharest Bookfest begins

The 7th International Book Exhibition Bookfest began on May 30, 2012 and will end on June 3, 2012 at the Romexpo Exhibition complex in Bucharest, Romania.

The Bookfest fills over 4,000 square meters with publishing house professionals, distributors, artists, authors, writers, and politicians can meet one another and the public. They signed autographs, conversed, and debated. This year, France is the honorary guest.

The French embassy and the French Institute along with journalist Bernard Pivot from the shows Apostrophes, Bouillon de culture, Double je, were present. And so were several well-known French writers — Dominique Fernandez, Michel Houellebecq, Nedim Gürsel, Sylvie Germain, Yasmina Khadra, and Yann Appery.

Seventh edition of the International Book Exhibition Bookfest will start Wednesday, May 30 and runs through Sunday, June 3, at the Romexpo Exhibition complex. Respecting the tradition by inviting a country in each edition, Bookfest enjoy the participation of France in 2012 as the guest of honor with a special exhibition.
