Interbalkan Poetry Festival
The 1st Interbalkan Poetry Festival is taking place in Thessaloniki on May 24-27, within the framework of the city’s 9th International Book Fair. The festival aims to highlight the shared and diverse aspects of poetic creation in the broader Balkan region and will feature poets from Serbia, Romania, Turkey, FYROM, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Greece.
The participating poets will recite their poems in the original language, accompanied by Greek translation, in an open discussion event, and will then answer questions. The Hellenic Authors Society, the National Book Centre (EKEBI), and the City of Thessaloniki are co-organizing the event.
