It's official. After months of break-up rumors and speculation, Johnny Depp's publicist confirmed that the 49-year-old actor and his partner Vanessa Paradis, 39, have separated after 14 years. The publicist asked that the couple's privacy be respected.
Depp and Paradis met in Paris in 1998. A year later, Paradis gave birth to the couple's first child, Lily-Rose. Three years later, the couple had another child, Jack.
Depp recounted falling in love with Paradis in an interview with the Daily Mail in October 2010: "It was at the Hotel Costes...she was wearing a dress with an exposed back and I saw that back and that neck, and then she turned around and I saw those eyes- and boom! My life as a single man was done. You have this feeling- I can't really explain what it was, but I had it when I met her."
