Who are we?

Citizenside wants to create the biggest amateur and/or independent reporters community.
Everyone can share their vision of the news with their photos and videos.
If you have an interesting image for the media, Citizenside contacts them and allows
you to cash a much higher payment than those offered in traditional agencies.
Citizenside was created in 2006 by three young associates (two cousins and a friend!),
news lovers, with a complementary experience to offer you the best services.
The France-Presse Agency, one of the three biggest agency in the world, and the
IAM company took a minority interest in the Citizenside agency (formerly Scooplive),
in November 2007. Xavier Gouyou-Beauchamps, ex-CEO of France Televisions, shareholder
of IAM company, was nominated president of Citizenside.
The three founders of Citizenside:
Julien Robert (also known as « the brain ») is the director of
the information systems of Citizenside. Julien has an engineer degree (SUPINFO Paris)
and an MSc of Web Technologies (Oxford Brookes University). He created and developed
the citizenside website from A to Z.
Philippe Checinski (also known as "Phil goldfingers") is our finance
and accounting director . Philippe has worked in marketing, finance and finance
marketing. Outstanding negotiator, he takes care of the reporters remuneration,
in the best of their interest.
Matthieu Stefani (also known as "Matt in touch") helped to launch
the free daily newspaper “Metro” in France, before working with Metro International.
His obsession: putting in touch. With Citizenside, he tries to speed up the information
flow between individuals and the media, so they publish the information as quickly
as possible.
They have joined us! As it was developing, Citizenside saw its team get bigger :
Olivier Corgeron, engineer, is the new computer services manager.
Graduate of Supinfo, he coordinates with Julien Robert the developments of the Citizenside
websites and of its partners. Nothing resists to this new technologies lover!
Aurélien Viers is the editor-in-chief of Citizenside. Sciences
Po and CFJ graduate, Aurélien worked as a reporter for information channel LCI and
as a correspondent in Japan. Our editor-in-chief is in charge of checking the information,
of the relations with the media, of the editorial development of the website and
of animating the community of Citizenside members.
