An injury put an end to the young german girl's carrier as a classical dancer. She then moves to Paris as a model in the mid 90's.
As she was intersted in acting, she studies at the prestigious "Cours Florent" in Paris. She begins with a few French TV movies. Her then husband Guillaume Canet offers her her first big part in "Mon idole" (my idol).
Her carriers becomes international when she acts in movies in the United States such as "Troy" or "National Treasure: Book of Secrets".
